Lieveren is a place where you can feel at home. This village offers a varying nature and is situated in the picturesque sloping valley of the Lieverse- and Peizerdiep (canal). A place where wild orchids still bloom! Beautiful surroundings with forests, heath and sand-drift, and not even five hundred metres away from an impressing age-old oak. On the northside of Roden you will find the charm of the panoramic polder landscape. The educational institute has the disposal of several attractive rooms in which the lessons will be taught, its own kitchen in which, during the weekends, vegetarian meals can be prepared, and on the upper floor a permanent exposition of works of art.
Lieveren is 17 kilometres southwest of the city of Groningen. The capital city of Drenthe, Assen, is about 20 kilometres away. Lieveren is 8 kilometres away from the national trunk road A7 Groningen - Drachten - Heerenveen. The bus company ARRIVA delivers a bus service of 20 minutes on weekdays, with line 82 from Groningen to Roden and back. Moreover, there is a frequent connection with, among others, Leek (line 87) and Assen (line 83). The educational centre in Lieveren is 2,7 kilometres away from Roden.
